halloween ed cosplay

idk how many of you knew that i cosplayed for halloween. idk how many of you knew i even cosplayed. well, here you go

yes, edward elric from the fullmetal alchemist series. i just got me hands on some of the pics taken that day there were a few others, but for the personal privacy of others (including myself), i decided not to upload any of the pics that may have made it more obvious of my location at the time this pic was taken. to further that (if you will), i blurred the bg as well

about the cosplay: the only thing i really actually made made was the coat, boots, pocket watch, and wig. obviously, i didn't have that all with me the day this was taken (this was actually taken a day before halloween, so i'm not fully in costume)...

the scythe was from a friend's cosplay. i don't think she has a dA account though... well, if you ever do see this, thanks for letting me borrow the scythe!


why did i cosplay as ed? well, when i had made the costume, it was roughly the summer of 2010, so before FMA ended. i wanted to pay a tribute to the series (the only one at the time that i actually bothered and enjoyed coming back to each week).

i actually chose to cosplay as ed rather quickly, since i'm roughly his height (according to absolute anime, where one height claims that he's 4'11"). that was one of the main reasons, lol short people ftw!

aaand that wig. oh geez. although i was able to make it softer since its last use (AX 2010), it's still a cruddy wig. but hey, at the moment, that's all i can really afford. hopefully i'll be able to get my hands on a better wig when i cosplay as engineer link.
